About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of an LED UV light source from Angstrom Designs. The key details are:

The government is seeking to purchase an LED UV light source with a power supply and spare LED light board from Angstrom Designs. The light source must match the AM0 spectrum from 270nm to 410nm, with a designed illumination intensity performance of 3 solar constants at 2,000 hours of operation and 2.5 solar constants at 10,000 hours. The light source must have a spatial non-uniformity of approximately 10% across a 6-inch diameter beam area, with a working illumination head no greater than 4.5" x 6.5". The purchase is for the Goddard Space Flight Center, with a period of performance starting on February 1, 2025.

The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation for the AM0 UV LED, which NASA/NSSC intends to award sole-source to Angstrom Designs under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), as Angstrom Designs is the only manufacturer of a compatible LED light source. The NAICS code is 334516, and interested parties may submit capabilities by July 24, 2024.
