About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the replacement of aftercooler cores on the main propulsion diesel engines (MPDEs) and ship service diesel generators (SSDGs) aboard the NOAA Ship Ferdinand R. Hassler. The work includes removing existing aftercoolers and installing government-furnished replacement cores, as well as inspecting and cleaning various engine components. The work is expected to be performed at the NOAA Marine Operations Center - Atlantic facility between July 29 and August 9, 2024. The SOW provides details on the vessel specifications, references, government-furnished materials, technical requirements, quality assurance, and notes including engine serial numbers and point of contact information.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) soliciting proposals for the NOAA Ship Ferdinand Hassler aftercooler cores replacement. This is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 336611 with a size standard of 1,300 employees. The government will award a firm-fixed price contract based on best value, considering past experience/performance and price. Quotes are due by July 23, 2024 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time and must include specific information such as company details, detailed cost breakdown, liability insurance, acceptance of terms and conditions, and vendor certifications.
