About this file

This statement of work outlines requirements for ARENA FPGA digital modules for NASA's High-Altitude Imaging Wind and Rain Airborne Profiler radar system. The contractor shall provide one ARENA CTU module with four Micro D interfaces to provide digital I/O and timing control, one ARENA103 module configured with a 2.4 GHz 14-bit DAC, and one ARENA413 module with USB3 interfaces configured with two 2.4 GHz 14-bit ADCs. Module requirements are available at the provided URL. The contractor must perform electrical and documentation testing of the modules and provide a one-year warranty. Fabrication if needed shall be completed within 20 weeks of contract award at Tomorrow.io's facility in Bourne, Massachusetts under solicitation number 80NSSC236245 for ARENA MODULES, a pre-solicitation opportunity from NASA's Shared Services Center.

STATEMENT OF WORK

ARENA Digital Modules for HIWRAP

8/4/2023

1. Objective/Requirements This purchase is for ARENA FPGA digital modules for the NASA/GSFC High-Altitude Imaging Wind and Rain Airborne Profiler (HIWRAP). HIWRAP is a high-altitude dual-frequency radar for remote sensing of rain and wind.

The ARENA FPGA radar modules are electronics boards that provide all the digital control, processing, and data storage for HIWRAP. The different modules match existing ARENA modules for the other NASA/GSFC high-altitude radars save for a slight change in mechanical packaging, so leverage significant prior airborne system development at Goddard.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The contractor shall provide the following:

ASM-A0001-00, QTY 1

o ARENA CTU w/4 Micro D o Provides digital I/O and timing/control

ASM-00103-111, QTY 1

o ARENA103 Module (SMC) o Configured with 1x ASM-00111-02 (2.4 GHz 14-bit DAC)

ASM-00413-141-141, QTY 1

o ARENA413 Module w/ USB3 o Configured with 2x ASM-00141-00 (2.4 GHz 14-bit ADC)

Requirements for the above modules can be found at http://www.tomorrow.io/arena/ Perform electrical and other testing of the modules, along with relevant documentation.

Provide a 1-year warranty on the modules.

3. Place of Performance Tomorrow.io 1 Technology Park Drive Suite A Bourne, MA 02532.

4. Period of Performance Fabrication if necessary shall be performed after contract award for up to 20 weeks.
