STATEMENT OF WORK

Bulk Liquid Nitrogen Tank Maintenance and Relief Valves Replacement for NASA/GSFC

Background

The Materials Engineering Branch (Code 541) at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) /Goddard Space Fight Center (GSFC) is procuring a preventative maintenance (PM) agreement for their liquid nitrogen (LN2) bulk tank and piping system to maintain system components and ensure proper operation as specified for recertification by the GSFC Pressure Vessels and Pressurized System (PVS) program.

Scope

The Contractor shall perform preventative maintenance (PM) including inspection and evaluation on all parts and components in the LN2 bulk tank and piping system.

Requirements

The preventative maintenance, inspection, and evaluation shall satisfy all the following requirements:

Annual PM on LN2 bulk tank and piping system to include replacement of all relief devices and defrosting and evaluating condition of insulation and checking for leaks in main piping to the bulk tank. Also, inspection and evaluation of condition of interior piping including check of vacuum in lines.

All preventative maintenance parts and quantities as specified in the following table.

Service Report documenting of condition of inspected items.

Service engineers that are factory trained and certified for LN2 bulk system service.

Deliverables or Delivery Schedule

One annual preventative maintenance visit shall be performed during the period of performance.

Preventative maintenance parts shall be provided during the time of preventative maintenance visit.

Service Report documenting condition of inspected items shall be provided at the competition of the maintenance visit.

Place of Performance

Preventative maintenance and service shall be performed on-site at NASA/GSFC in Greenbelt, MD.

Period of Performance

The period of performance is a 12-month period from contract award.
