About this file

This statement of work outlines requirements for a cesium double magneto optical trap physics platform system. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Goddard Space Flight Center Quantum Engineering and Sensing Technology Laboratory requires a cesium two-dimensional magneto optical trap with integrated science cell, ultra high vacuum, and optics for three-dimensional trapping and state preparation. The system must be capable of reaching micro-Kelvin temperatures and providing an atom density over one million, and all optics must have anti-reflection coatings for 852nm laser light. Delivery of one cesium double MOT system meeting these specifications is due no later than September 15, 2023 at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

The related pre-solicitation federal contract opportunity 80NSSC236463 from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center is also for a cesium double magneto optical trap physics platform as defined in the statement of work.
