STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements We seek to purchase an ultraviolet sensitive imaging camera for use with a TVAC chamber being installed in B34, Room C134, to support a variety of technological developments in the ultraviolet to support a variety of mission goals across several divisions in the SED. The camera in question is being selected as a sole source commodity because while there are comparable devices out there, they are nearly 3x as much in cost. This is by far the most cost effective solution to the Center to provide this strategic capability. Indeed the chamber in question is unique in combining both heating, cooling, optical stimulus and contamination control all in a single facility.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
The camera needs to deliver the following performance specifications:
Sensitivity from 100nm to 320nm, preferably above and below this range as well.
Have a quantum efficiency (sensitivity) of greater than 20% across the required band.
Be capable of operating in a vacuum chamber environment.
Have an imaging area of at least 1000x1000 pixels.
Have pixels no greater in size than 15 microns.
Be capable of being cooled.
3. Place of Performance UV Testing Lab of Paul Scowen, in Goddard B34 C134
4. Period of Performance Anticipated period of performance to start as soon as Fall 2023, but with extended applications for at least the next 2-3 years.
