STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements X-ray optics group in Code 662 (GSFC) requires an X-ray imaging sensor with CMOS technology. The CMOS X-ray camera is a relatively new product recently became available. The CMOS camera usually runs at 30 fps (frame per second) or faster. This is much faster than a CCD camera which takes a few seconds per frame.

The faster camera is needed for measuring performance of X-ray mirrors with higher angular resolution in order to avoid pile up issues. And the faster camera will allow short measurements and quick feedback to development. The CMOS X-ray camera will be a must have equipment for the X-ray mirror characterization for NASA flight projects.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The X-ray CMOS camera shall meet the following specs:

In-vacuum type camera configuration (not flange mount type) Pixel size < 10 micron-m Sensor area size > 12.7 mm Frame rate > 30 fps Readout type rolling shutter >80% quantum efficiency at < 1 keV Thermal electric cooler equipped to cool down the camera to ~25C Software Development Kit available for Linux Operating system

3. Place of Performance AXIS Photonique Inc, Quebec, Canada

4. Period of Performance Lead time shall be 3 months
