Three items are to be relocated from laboratory rooms to other laboratory rooms along the same hallway within one building. The items are relatively heavy, with each item weighing around 1300 pounds, and the items are relatively large, with the largest being a ten-foot-long optical table. A certain length of the hallway floor, approx. 50 ft with existing aluminum plates in a lab and hallway, must be covered with steel plates for floor protection.
Purpose/Objective: Three items are to be relocated from laboratory rooms to other laboratory rooms along the same hallway within one building, with protective steel plates used on the floor as specified.
II. SCOPE OF WORK
Steel plates shall be laid down on the floor to cover the hallway floor for approx. 50 ft including the existing aluminum plates in a lab and hallway, to be removed after the relocation of three laboratory items. First, an optical table, 10’ x 4’ x 18” (L x W x H) and approx. 1300 pounds, shall be moved from one laboratory room to another laboratory room, approx. 50 feet apart, with the optical table resting on Government-provided optical table legs in the latter room. Second, a granite surface plate on a rolling steel stand, approx. 1300 pounds and 50” x 38” x 36” (L x W x H), shall be moved from one laboratory room to another laboratory room, approx. 50 feet apart. Third, a control unit, approx. 1300 pounds and 59” x 33” x 69” (L x W x H), shall be moved from one laboratory room to another laboratory room, approx. 10 feet apart.
