DOC# 2139V104-ATTACHMENT (A)
BLDG CEP-198 FIRE PUMP REPLACEMENT STATEMENT OF WORK
The Contractor is to provide service per the following requirements:
A. Contract begins on or about June 27, 2022 and ends when repairs are completed satisfactory.
B. Replacement of Fire Pump to be performed on Fire Pump, as outlined in Section C below. The equipment is located in building CEP-198 at the Norfolk Naval Station (NOB) in Norfolk, VA. The Contractor will need to provide all required personnel information to obtain security accesses to NOB.
C. Requested replacement service is as follows:
C.1. The contractor will provide labor and material to disconnect and remove the existing fire pump & driver, 6" OS+Y suction control valve, 1.25" OS+Y suction control valve and 1.25" discharge check valve for jockey pump.
C.2. The new fire pump will be a 500 GPM @ 80-PSI, 3/60/460, meeting the same criteria as the existing fire pump being removed.
C.3. While replacing the jockey pumps control valve and discharge check valve the 1.25" suction and discharge piping will be replaced.
C.4. Once the installation of the new work for the fire pump and jockey pump is complete. Hiller Systems with the factory representative will perform a “Certified Factory Performance Test”.
D. Additional Contractor responsibility:
D.1. Per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 22.102-1(a) entitled “Safety”: Contractors are hereby informed that their employees or representatives present on property under NNSY cognizance must follow Federal and State Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and NNSY Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) Program Manual NAVSHIPYDNORINST P5090.2 requirements, or safety requirements for the site specific location of the contract.
D.2. Work will be performed during regular business hours Monday – Friday / 7:00am – 4:00pm.
