STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Introduction: The Agilent TapeStation is required for quality control of sequencing samples for the highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak.
2. Scope: To procure an Agilent 4150 TapeStation System, for the analysis of genomic DNA, cell-free DNA and other nucleic acid samples This system uses proprietary small-scale gel electrophoresis for the analysis of genomic DNA, cell-free DNA and other nucleic acid samples.
3. Technical Requirements: Requirement for Agilent 4150 TapeStation System to support the highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak in the United States. The instrument must be an Agilent Technologies 4150 TapeStation System. The system must allow for analysis of genomic DNA, cell-free DNA and other nucleic acid samples utilizing small-scale electrophoresis. The system must offer automated sample processing for sample quality control for RNA and DNA sample analysis for up to 16 sample per run. The Agilent 4150 TapeStation instrument bundle must include the Agilent 4150 TapeStation instrument (model G2992A) for RNA and DNA sample analysis, TapeStation software, accessories to include vortex mixer, tube strip holder, tip waste bucket, consumables to include optical tube strips and caps, loading tips and TapeStation Test Tape. The system must have individual channels that facilitate variable throughput from 1-16 samples. System must provide results that are available within 1-2 minutes per sample and have pre-packaged ScreenTape that require no set up or priming or lengthy temperature equilibration periods. System must provide fully automated sample processing for up to 16 samples with the automates loading, electrophoresis and imagining of the prepared samples onto ScreenTape devices. System must have a low sample volume requirement of 1-2 microliters, must switch easily between DNA and RNA applications. System must offer no risk for cross contamination by utilizing individual loading tips for each sample, with the tips fitted with a barrier filter to prevent aerosol contamination. System must also come with 5 year warranty.
