Statement of Requirements Project: Automated Biogas Analyzer

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Scope of Work: Purchase and delivery of an automated biogas analyzer

2.0 Background: This equipment will replace the current, but antiquated, biogas analyzer at Center. Current equipment is nearing end-of-life with replacement parts no longer in production, and difficult to source, and an outdated software platform which does not integrate with the newer operating systems required by the Department. Current equipment is used to analyze the production of biogas (predominantly methane) from natural (e.g., soils and wastewater) materials for the Center, as well as other ARS units across the United States. This equipment also supports agreements with other collaborators, such as the USDA-NRCS.
