SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE
1. Solicitation Number: 75N95023Q00194
2. Title: ATMC STACIS iX Laser Vibration Isolation Table
3. Classification Code: 66 – Instruments and Laboratory Equipment
4. NAICS Code: 334516 – Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing
5. Description:
This is a SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal of abstracts or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses (e.g., 8(a), Veteran-owned small businesses, service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and women-owned small businesses);
and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification
System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code 334516 should not submit a response to this notice.
This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition. It is not construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. This notice is strictly for market research and information purposes only. Furthermore, it should be noted that any future solicitations that may be issued as a result of this notice, or in response to this requirement, may be issued using a different solicitation number from the one identified above.
Background: The Cell Biology and Biophysics unit (CBBU) performs measurements of microtubules and microtubule associated proteins and their kinetics and dynamics at the single molecule level. In order to discern the molecular level events, we need to perform super resolution and localization microscopy. These experiments necessitate the need to have a stable platform that isolates all vibration from the outside. As measured, there are large amplitude vibrations on the third floor of bldg. 35 around 2 Hz. The STACIs iX
Laser tables are the only choice to meet our needs down to 0.6Hz damping.
Purpose and Objectives: The purpose of this acquisition is to procure one (1) STACIS iX Optical Laser Table Bases to eliminate the vibration and distortion of inverted laser microscopes used to collect recorded data. The table will provide stability through vibration cancellation technology to isolate any movement. This will prevent any disruption during data recordings.
Project requirements: The Contractor shall provide one (1) STACIS iX Vibration
Isolation Laser Table to the following specifications:
• One STACIS Laser Table and base measuring 5’x7’x78”
• Table will have vibration isolation of -6 dB at 1Hz, -15 to -20dB at 2HX and -25 or more at 3Hz and above
• Tables shall have an 8” height frame
• Tables will have hybrid system (passive and active) for vibration isolation
• Vendor shall provide and qualified field service engineer on site for up to 1 day to optimize and certify tables.
• Incorporates patented STACIS® technology
• Active inertial vibration cancellation system
• Vibration cancellation starts below 1 Hz
• Extended stroke piezoelectric actuators, up to 60 microns.
• 6 active degrees-of-freedom
• Consists of two isolation systems in series for maximum vibration isolation
• Incorporates patented MaxDamp® Air Isolators
• Simple, robust and cost-effective
• Optional shelves for mounting equipment under the table
• Includes TMC's DC-2020 Digital Controller
Delivery Date: 12-14 weeks after award date.
