A. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS: PRESERVATION AND PACKING SHALL BE INSPECTED IN ACCORDANCE

WITH MIL-STD-2073-1E AND CONTAINER ASSEMBLY DRAWING 12370995.

B. SEAL ALL OPENINGS WITH CAPS OR PLUGS OF THE APPROPRIATE SIZE.

C. PLACE ITEM IN BAG AND CLOSE WITH TAPE.

D. INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING ITEM FROM DRUM AND FOR PACKAGING ITEM IN DRUM. INSTRUCTIONS

ARE ALSO ON THE PRESSURE SENSITIVE LABEL LOCATED ON DRUM IMMEDIATELY ABOVE LOWER

CORRUGATION (ROLLING HOOP).

ITEM REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. REMOVE BOLT AND NUT FROM SEALING RING.

2. REMOVE DRUM TOP COVER WITH GASKET.

3. REMOVE TOP FOAM INSERT AND LIFT ITEM OUT OF CONTAINER.

PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS

1. INSTALL CAPS OR PLUGS OF SUITABLE SIZE OVER RECEPTACLE CONNECTORS.

2. INSERT THE ITEM INTO CONTAINER, ORIENT TO FIT FOAM CAVITY.

3. PLACE TOP FOAM PAD ON THE ITEM.

4. PLACE DRUM COVER WITH GASKET ON DRUM. POSITION THE RING SEAL ON DRUM WITH

BOLT CLOSURE RECEPTACLE DOWNWARD. INSTALL AND TIGHTEN BOLT TO 6+- 0.5

POUND FT.

IMPORTANT

TAP THE PERIMETER OF SEAL RING IN SEVERAL PLACES WHILE TIGHTENING THE

CLOSURE BOLT. TAPPING THE SEAL HELPS SEAT THE GASKET.
