About this file
This document contains a special packaging instruction and related federal contract opportunity. The special packaging instruction provides specifications for packaging a cylinder brake, including preservation methods, cleaning, drying, packing, marking, and notes.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation for cylinder assemblies with a quantity of 561 each and potential option of 100%. The item and part numbers are identified. Delivery is to destination. The technical data is estimated to include less than 10% purchased parts. Contractors must meet higher-level quality requirements and the solicitation will be a small business set-aside. A reverse auction may be used as a pricing technique, and contractors must register and complete training to participate. The solicitation will be released on Contract Opportunities and offers will be due between January and February 2020. The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is the issuing agency.
