A. REFER TO THE BILL OF MATERIALS FOR ALL REFERENCED ITEMS AND CIRCLED PART NUMBERS ON THE

ACCOMPANYING PAGES.

B. APPLY PRESERVATIVE, ITEM 1, TO ALL BARE FERROUS SURFACES.

C. WRAP PART WITH WRAP, ITEM 2, AND SECURE WITH TAPE. MAKE SURE TO APPLY WRAP WITH

GREASEPROOF SIDE TOWARD THE PART.

D. PREPARE CONTAINER, ITEM 12, AS SHOWN ON PAGE 3. TO LOCATE HOLES IN BARRIER, ITEM 9, INSERT CARRIAGE BOLTS, ITEM 5, THROUGH BOTTOM OF ASSEMBLED CRATE PLATFORM (SEE PAGE 3). WITH THE BARRIER CENTERED ON THE PLATFORM, PRESS DOWN ON THE INSIDE BOTTOM OF THE BARRIER UNTIL TOUCHING THE PLATFORM BASE. APPLY ENOUGH PRESSURE ON BOLT ENDS SO THE BARRIER BECOMES INDENTED, MARKING WHERE THE HOLES SHOULD BE MADE. GASKETS, ITEM 10, SHALL BE CEMENTED TO BOTH SIDES OF THE BARRIER AT THE MOUNTING LOCATIONS USING ADHESIVE, ITEM 11. AFTER POSITIONING BARRIER OVER BOLTS, A SUFFICIENT QUANTITY OF ADHESIVE SHALL BE APPLIED AROUND

THE BOLTS AND GASKETS TO PROVIDE AN AIRTIGHT SEAL.

E. THE UNIT CONTAINER IS AN ACCEPTABLE LEVEL A AND LEVEL B SHIPPING CONTAINER.

F. INSPECT THE PRESERVATION, THE UNIT PACK, AND THE PACKING IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-2073-1D

AND THE APPLICABLE CONTAINER SPECIFICATION.
