CLARIFICATIONS VERSION (1) DATED 2 FEBRUARY 2016

Clarification of Manual Transfer Switch/Circuit Breaker Specification:

1. Referring to the connection diagram, each solid line entering/exiting each of the red-outlined components represents three (3) cables of type SHOF-500. (E.g. four lines represent twelve SHOF-500 cables.) Our shore power is three-phase, three-conductor, ungrounded.

2. This shore power configuration does not provide a mechanical means of preventing accidental paralleling of the normal and backup power sources. The Shipyard operates this system in accordance with a formal written procedure to prevent paralleling of the normal source and the backup diesel generator.

3. This configuration does not support disconnecting the load bank from the diesel generator. The manual transfer switch will be used like a terminal board to hard-wire the output of the diesel generator to the load bank. Therefore, the diesel generator will be connected to the load bank at all times.
