5. Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS):
Effective 14 August 2017, NCACS credentials will no longer be accepted for base access. Any new contractor, vendor or supplier requesting base access will be required to obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credential. NCACS credentials will no longer be issued. Only DBIDS credentials will be issued to ALL contractors, vendors and suppliers seeking base access AFTER 30 June 2017. Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) increases installation security and communications by receiving frequent database updates on changes to personnel/credential status, law enforcement warrants, lost/stolen cards, and force protection conditions.
The system provides continuous vetting anytime the DBIDS card is scanned at an installation entry point.
If you currently have a Navy Commercial Access Control System (NCACS) card, the following is required to get a DBIDS credential:
Present your NCACS Card and a completed copy of the SECNAV FORM 5512/1 to the base Visitor Control Center (VCC) representative.
The VCC will pull up your information in the computer, ensuring all information is current and correct.
Once your information is validated, a temporary DBIDS credential is provided.
Your temporary credential will have an expiration date, prior to which you will need to obtain your permanent DBIDS credential (~ 180 days).
For each additional U.S. Navy installation to which you need access, the first time you visit you only need to bring your DBIDS credential and statement of purpose for base access when arriving at the Visitor Control Center.
The representative will enter base access authorization and then you may proceed to work.
If you do NOT have an NCACS Card, the following is required to obtain a DBIDS credential:
Present a letter or official document from any government sponsoring organization that provides the purpose for your access.
Present valid identification, such as a passport or Real ID Act-compliant state driver's license.
Present a completed copy of the SECNAV 5512/1 form to obtain your background check.
Upon completion of the background check, the Visitor Control Center representative will complete the
DBIDS enrollment process, which includes your photo, finger prints, base restrictions, and several other assessments; after all this is done, you will be provided with your new DBIDS credential.
All deliveries must pass through the base Truck Inspection Station. All delivery vehicles are subject to inspection.
Drivers should expect delays due to heightened security.
For access to the main, perimeter gates at any Navy Base Kitsap installation, contractors are required to be a US Citizen and have either:
(a) DBIDS badge or
(b) Request a One-day Visitor badge at Pass & ID. Be prepared to present:

AAG1
Save time, increase throughput by running at higher rpm, and increased feed rates. Save money by eliminating the need for expensive coolant, and all of its associated costs and time-wasting hassles. Modern tools with special coatings, like titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN), can run at much higher speeds and feed rates than ever. However, those special coatings need to run without coolant (dry machining), and there is a trade-off: Chips not cleared from the cutting area can damage the tool and mar the surface finish. Since these high-speed tools need to run dry, how do you get the chips – and heat – away from the tool? The AAG supplies high-pressure / high-flow air through an adjustable cylinder and retractable barrel that is aimed directly at the tool’s cutting edge. AAG provides a constant air blast to the cutting tool to clear chips safely and automatically during dry machining, or to blow chips and coolant out of deep pockets. AAG is also good for cutting non-metallic materials where coolant cannot be used.
Activated by M code, the air blast can be programmed to turn on while the spindle is turning, or at the end of a cycle.
4AXBL
The fastest way to increase mill productivity is to add a 4th-axis rotary product. Reduce or eliminate multiple setups, and easily handle machining multi-sided parts (3+1 machining). Also allows operators to run fully interpolated, complex 4-axis programs. The 4th-axis drive allows the use of a fully integrated 4th-axis Haas rotary table or indexer for multi-sided machining, yielding increased productivity and reduced setups. Fully integrated to the Haas control – simply plug-n-play a Haas rotary table or indexer.
8M
Provides eight additional M-code outputs that may be used for activating probes, auxiliary pumps, part loaders, etc.
CABCOOL
A hot and sticky shop environment can be a once-in-a-while thing for some shops, or a common situation for others.
A hot shop means elevated heat levels in the machine’s control cabinet, and that heat can shorten the life of many electrical components. Cooling the electronics in the cabinet can reduce many problems, and extend the lifespan of the components. The CNC Control Cabinet Cooler is a fully integrated air conditioning unit for your machine. It provides reliable cooling for your control electronics, eliminating downtime due to heat, dirt, and gunk. Keeping the electronics in your cabinet cool boosts reliability and increases the life of the components. CabCool is a factory-installed option that mounts directly to the control cabinet door. CabCool is for three-phase machines only, but does not require an external power source.
HV-ISO-XFRMR
Internal High-Voltage Isolated Transformer for 380-480V operation.
HIL-24V
High-Intensity Lighting; externally mounted LED lights that turn on/off automatically with the machine doors, or manually via switch.
COOLANT CHILLER
Coolant Chiller; reduces the temperature of the machine’s coolant before it is circulated through the machine, to remove heat generated by the machining process, stabilize the temperature of the machining environment, and increase thermal stability.
MFININ
Optional cable assembly from the I/O board of a Haas mill to a connector on the side of the mill control cabinet.
Provides M-code/MFIN capability for controlling external devices. Allows an M-code to pause a CNC program, send a start signal to the device, and then resume the program when an MFIN (finished) signal is received from the device.
T-SLOT PLATTER-210
210 mm T-Slot Platter in place of the standard bolt-pattern platter.
5AXBL
Increase the productivity of your Haas mill further by adding a 5th-axis rotary table. The Haas 5th-axis drive allows the use of a fully integrated 5th-axis Haas rotary table or indexer for multi-sided machining, yielding increased productivity and reduced setups. You can run fully interpolated, complex 5-axis programs, or easily position parts to nearly any angle for 3+2 machining. The drive is fully integrated to the Haas control, allowing simple plug-n-play installation of a Haas rotary table or indexer. This option requires the 4th-Axis Drive option (sold separately), and is field installable.
P-COOL
Boost productivity, reduce cycle times and eliminate the opening and closing of the mill doors to adjust coolant lines. The Programmable Coolant Nozzle is a multi-position nozzle that automatically directs coolant precisely at the cutting tool. The position of the nozzle is controlled via the program, and set specifically for each tool length – saving operator time by eliminating constant adjustments. The nozzle position may also be adjusted manually from the control pendant while a program is running.
DWO/TCPC
G254 Dynamic work offset (DWO) and G234 Tool Center Point Control (TCPC) are software features in the Haas control that simplify the set-up process during 5-axis machining. These software features allow an operator to place the work anywhere on the table, regardless of the location that was programmed in the CAM system. DWO and TCPC determine the difference between the centers-of-rotation programmed in the CAM system and the centers-of-rotation within the machine and apply the appropriate offsets. This means that the operator no longer needs to repost the program every time the part location on the table changes. DWO applies to all 3+1 and 3+2 machining, while TCPC applies to all simultaneous machine movements. Rotary-Axis Calibration Tool.
CC
This auger-style chip conveyor automatically removes chips from the machine, while compressing them and wringing out the coolant. It is ideal for both short runs and high-production environments, eliminating the downtime required for manual chip removal. The auger can be activated via M-code or directly from the control pendant, and there are settings to control the interval and duration of the auger cycle for automatic operation. Smart-sensing technology automatically reverses the auger if a jam occurs.
8.1K-40T-GBX
This 8100-rpm spindle for 40-taper machines uses a Haas-built two-speed gearbox to provide a wide constant horsepower band, good low-speed torque for heavy cuts, and higher torque throughout the range above 500 rpm.
Haas gears are CNC machined and hobbed out of alloy steel, heat treated to 60 Rc, and then precision ground to AGMA Class 13 quality. Cannot be configured with TAB - Tool Air Blast.
PROGRAMMABLE AIR
Programmable Air; allows users to operate pneumatic devices on their machine, via the Haas control.
PULSEJET
PulseJet System; programmable tap/drill oiling system. Requires the Haas programmable coolant nozzle.
HSM
The High-Speed Machining option allows faster feed rates, more complex toolpaths without hesitation or starving of the machine and reduces cycle times. Using a motion algorithm called “acceleration before interpolation” combined with full look-ahead, HSM provides contouring feeds up to 1200 ipm (30.5 m/min), without risk of distortion to the programmed path. This yields reduced cycle times, improved accuracy, and smoother motion. HSM option accepts ISO standard G-code from all major CAM systems, and is only a fraction of the cost of other high-speed controls.
64GB
Expanded on-board solid-state memory allows storing, running, and editing large programs directly at the machine.
Built in memory eliminates risk of security threats associated with external USB Thumb Drives and SD Disks.
WIPS-R
Wireless Intuitive Probing System (WIPS). WIPS guides the operator through the job set-up process with easy-to-use templates. WIPS has the ability to define work offset coordinates, set tool length offsets, and perform in-process inspection within the program, for both part inspection and tool breakage detection. Includes the Haas Visual Programming System, macros, spindle orientation and coordinate rotation and scaling options.
ACF
Auxiliary Coolant Filter is an inexpensive method of keeping the coolant system unclogged and operating with maximum flow not only improves part finish, but also increases the life of tools and inserts. The two-stage filtration system keeps the coolant free of particulates, which extends the usable life of the coolant, and translates into considerable time and money savings. Mandatory for machines with through-tool coolant when machining cast iron, cast aluminum, wood, phenolic, and other particulate-producing materials.
ANCHORING KIT
Machine Anchoring Kit; includes toe clamps, hardware, anchoring epoxy, tube brush, 1" hammer drill bit, and machine anchoring template.
ATB-PC
Accessory Tooling Block: used to locate tap holders, speeders and coolant inducers, enhancing the versatile production capabilities of the VMC.
OIL-SKIMMER- HAAS
Coolant Tank Oil Skimmer; an integrated solution for keeping your coolant tank free of tramp oils.
PRB-EC3
If you add a low-profile table or the extended clearance option and WIPS to your Haas mill, you may need to raise the position of your tool probe. The Probe Riser Block raises the probe to a position where the tools can reach it.
This option may also be needed when using a rotary table on your Haas mill.
TRT210
210 mm (8.3") Tilting 2-Axis Rotary Table. Requires Haas mill with 4th-and 5th-axis drives for true 4th- and 5th-axis operation.

(4) If an emergency or unanticipated event interrupts normal Government processes so that offers cannot be received at the Government office designated for receipt of offers by the exact time specified in the solicitation, and urgent Government requirements preclude amendment of the solicitation or other notice of an extension of the closing date, the time specified for receipt of offers will be deemed to be extended to the same time of day specified in the solicitation on the first work day on which normal Government processes resume.
(5) Offers may be withdrawn by written notice received at any time before the exact time set for receipt of offers.
Oral offers in response to oral solicitations may be withdrawn orally. If the solicitation authorizes facsimile offers, offers may be withdrawn via facsimile received at any time before the exact time set for receipt of offers, subject to the conditions specified in the solicitation concerning facsimile offers. An offer may be withdrawn in person by an offeror or its authorized representative if, before the exact time set for receipt of offers, the identity of the person requesting withdrawal is established and the person signs a receipt for the offer.
(g) Contract award (not applicable to Invitation for Bids). The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with offerors. Therefore, the offeror's initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a price and technical standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. The Government may reject any or all offers if such action is in the public interest; accept other than the lowest offer; and waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received.
(h) Multiple awards. The Government may accept any item or group of items of an offer, unless the offeror qualifies the offer by specific limitations. Unless otherwise provided in the Schedule, offers may not be submitted for quantities less than those specified. The Government reserves the right to make an award on any item for a quantity less than the quantity offered, at the unit prices offered, unless the offeror specifies otherwise in the offer.
