Radiation Simulator Specifications required by C1010.4
Specifications:
A portable wireless network system includes hardware and or software capable of simulating a single and or multiple gamma radiation point sources and a simulated dosimeter(s) which is (are) able to detect in omnidirectional and display the simulated dose rate and accumulative dose in accordance with the distance of 1/R^2.
• Simulated gamma source capable of configuring 1 mRem/Hour to 200 Rem/Hour and able to be detected up to approximately 100 feet line of sight.
• Simulated dosimeter no larger than 3-inch X 4-inch X .75-inch
• Simulated dosimeter shall have a visual display and audio alarm for dose rate threshold, dose rate warning threshold, dose threshold, dose warning threshold, low battery, and lost connection.
• Simulated dosimeter operates with a battery of 8 hours continually run time
• Included a minimum of 1-year maintenance and calibration, if required
• System capable of running six (6) simulated gamma sources and up to sixteen (16) simulated dosimeters at one time, in one training area, for minimum of 8 hours continually. Co-location of simulated sources and dosimeter groups (kits) may be used to support this requirement.
• A central monitoring console capable display current simulated status of the six (6) simulated gamma sources and sixteen (16) simulated dosimeters.
• Wireless compatible to IEEE 802.15.4
• Software: If required it shall be compatible with Microsoft Windows 10 ®
