Salient Characteristics for Round Slings 11410155
-Round slings must be 10 ft. long
-Round slings must have a 50,000 lb. working load limit In a vertical configuration
-Round slings must have a 40,000 lb. working load limit in a choker configuration
-Round slings must have a 100,000 lb. working load limit in a basket configuration
-Relaxed body diameter of sling must be 1-7/8”
-Width body diameter of sling at load must be 3-1/2”
-Each round sling must have a permanently marked with a leather tag with the OEM name/trademark with capacities in vertical, choker, and basket configurations; generic round slings cannot be purchased.
-A second blank leather tag must be present for PSNS to mark their own shipyard identification numbers
-Each round sling must be encased in a double-walled jacket made from heavy duty nylon
-The core yarn of the slings must be made of spectra or a spectra-Technora blend
(EHP)
-All round slings must meet the requirements of ASME B30.9
-All round slings must have a minimum design factor of 5
-All round slings must have a proof load test at manufacturer to 200% of capacity and held for 2 minutes, test certificate must be provided with material
-Slings must be manufactured domestically
