Navy Region Northwest Enterprise Land-Line mobile radio management instruction requires these specific radios to be compatible with the current system. PSNS and TRF are under the Federal Open
Market pricing contract with Motorola Solutions Inc. . The Navy Regional Manager contracts with
Motorola Solutions to be able to program specific criteria into the radios to utilize secure communication abilities. Other radios cannot be programmed with secure communication required by the Trunking System, due to design limitations.
The XTS5000 model radios that the Navy Region Northwest Enterprise Land-Line mobile Mobile radio s utilize have been discontinued by the manufacturer and have been replaced by the APX6000 model.
These radios contain the correct function and features to work in the EDX/8/.1E*R Trunking System.
