1. SCOPE
1.1 This Statement of Work (SOW) is for the total hose replacement of one Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (6 Axle SPMT) and one Power Pack Unit (PPU), and training of NNSY’s (6 Axle SPMT) and (PPU), hose replacement process. The hose replacement shall restore all hoses with “NEW” hoses to include new hose fittings within all specifications of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the requirements of this SOW.
Table 1.2 lists the (6 Axle SPMT) and (PPU), information and repairs needed. All hoses will be pressure tested, visually inspected, hydraulic fluid sampled, and functions performed on the SPMT/PPU as listed in section 4. All hoses to be changed are listed on enclosures listed in section 2.1.

3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1 General Work Specifications.
3.1.1 Contractor shall remove old hoses and install new hoses specified on enclosures listed in section (2.1). Contractor shall restore one (6 Axle SPMT’s) and one (PPU) In Accordance With (IAW) references (2.2). Contractors work shall restore each Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMT’s) and Power Pack Unit (PPU) to OEM specifications using OEM bulletins, drawings, publications, reports, notices and references listed in section (2.1) of this SOW. An itemized list of all hoses replaced with lengths, end fitting description, system description, counts and pressure ratings per (6 Axle SPMT’s) and (PPU).
3.1.2 Contractor workmanship shall provide a standard of quality consistent with that of
OEM specifications and government high quality expectations. The contractor shall perform work in accordance within latest OEM publications cited in reference 2.1.
3.1.3 All parts and labor used on NNSY’s SPMT/PPU hose replacement shall carry a one year warranty from the time of installation.
3.1.4 Disputes. Any disputes between the L&HD / Contract Officer Representative COR or designated representative and the contractor technician regarding contractor performance will be immediately referred to the Contracting Officer.
3.1.5 All new hoses shall be required to meet Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specification, pressure rating, classification, and system in which they shall be installed.
3.1.6 All new hoses shall meet Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specification, required lengths as to prevent over extension, entanglement, dragging, and kicking.
3.1.7 All new hoses shall be protected with new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specification, specified hydraulic hose spiral warp where needed in order to prevent inadvertent, rubbing, chaffing, and or cutting of all hoses.
3.1.8 All new hoses shall include swivel fitting, 90 degree fittings, 45 degree fittings, and crimped fittings where Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specification indicate.
3.1.9 All tool and testing devices shall be provided by the contractor.
3.1.10 All fluids shall be in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. All fluids such as hydraulic fluid but not limited to shall be the contractors sole responsibility for the contractor to provide.
4. TESTING REQUIREMENT.
4.1 All Government required testing shall be executed in the order listed in the SOW.
4.2 Before the contractor work begins the Government will provide functional testing to the contractor to insure that one (SPMT) and one (PPU) are in proper working order. The Government will also provide Hydraulic Oil Testing in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO 4406) as proof to the contractor that the (SPMT) and (PPU) current hydraulic fluids are within Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
4.3 After the contractor hose installation is complete, the Contractor shall provide functional testing to the
Government to insure that one (SPMT) and one (PPU) are returned to proper working order. The Government will also provide Hydraulic Oil Testing to the contractor in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO 4406) as proof to the Government that the contractor has returned the (SPMT) and (PPU) current hydraulic fluid to its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. If the test results or deemed unsatisfactory in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO 4406) the contractor will be required to flush, filter, or replace hydraulic fluid to achieve International Organization for Standardization (ISO 4406) satisfactory results. The Government will provide necessary filtering equipment.
4.3.1 Contractor shall be responsible for providing required fittings in order to perform testing and or extracting fluid samples. These fitting to include but not limited to blanks, zone isolation fittings and valves where needed to prevent damage to the Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMT’s) and Power Pack Unit (PPU).
7. NOTES.
7.1 The contractor shall contact the government personnel listed in section 7.3 to schedule off-loading. Contact shall occur a minimum of 48 hours prior to delivery to NNSY. The designated off-loading area will be disseminated to the contractor during this contact.
7.2 Contractor Submittals – The contractor shall submit the following documents to the government representatives listed in section 7.3.
7.2.1 Documentation of All pressure testing results on contractor’s company letter head shall be provided to the government within 24 hours of pressure testing completion.
7.2.2 An itemized list of all hoses replaced with lengths, end fitting descriptions, system descriptions, part numbers, locations, count needed per SPMT/PPU and pressure ratings shall be provided to the government.
