A. PRESERVATION MATERIAL CODE ZZ = FLUSH OR SLUSH INTERNALLY WITH NORMAL OPERATING LUBRICANT (PRESERVATIVE CODE 89). DRAIN EXCESS THROUGHLY AND SEAL ALL OPENINGS WITH CAPS/PLUGS OF

APPROPRIATE SIZE IAW NAS 847.

B. APPLY MIL-PRF-32033 PRESERVATIVE TO ALL UNPAINTED, UNPLATED, EXTERIOR METALLIC SURFACES AND WRAP

ITEM.

C. ENVELOP FABRICATION SHALL BE IAW MIL-DTL-6060. MATERIAL USED FOR FABRICATION OF GASKETS SHALL CONFORM TO SPECIFICATION ASTM F104. GASKETS SHALL BE CEMENTED TO EACH SIDE OF THE BARRIER AT THE MOUNTING LOCATIONG USING MMM-A-260 ADHESIVE OR COMMERICAL EQUIVALENT. AFTER POSITIONING BARRIER OVER BOLTS, A SUFFICIENT QUANTITY OF ADHESIVE SHALL BE APPLIED AROUND BOLT AND GASKET TO PROVIDE

AIRTIGHT SEAL.

D. BLOCKING, BRACING, CUSHIONING AND IMMOBILIZATION OF THE ITEM WITHIN THE CONTAINER SHALL MEET THE
