SPECIFICATIONS
Patch, Cadet Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, Gold & OCP Specification
November 2016
1. Request the following changes be made to the specification for Cadet Shoulder Sleeve Insignia Drawing A-1-206 dated 5 September 1974. This change shall be applicable to all current, pending and future procurements for USMA, West Point until such time as the document is amended or revised:
2. All patches shall be permanently backed with a hook Velcro material backing. The Velcro backing shall come as close to the edge of the patch without being seen while worn.
3. Additionally the provided specification will also be used for a subdued version. The areas specified to be Silver Gray and Golden Yellow shall be Bagby Green. The areas specified to be Black HAN Cable No.
67138 shall remain Black HAN Cable No. 67138. Refer to drawing A-1-206.
CADET PATCH SPECIFICATION
The description of the shoulder sleeve insignia for Cadets, United States Military Academy, reads as follows:
On a shield quartered black and grey 2 1/2 inches in width and 2 3/4 inches in height with a one eighth inch black border, the helmet of Pallas over a Greek sword, both golden yellow, edged with black.
Stitch Count: 4270 stitches (minimum), golden yellow 100/2 denier, all other colors 150/2 denier, 12/4 span, designed for over-edge stitching
For subdued insignia, gray and yellow areas to be OD Han cable no 67133. Black areas to be black Han, cable no.
67138.
PRODUCT SAMPLE FOR EVALUATION
At no cost to the government the prospective awardees will be notified by the Contracting Officer to submit a one unit sample of all CLINS. The sample will be submitted, within seven (7) working days after notification, to the location specified by the Contracting Officer. The samples will be provided FOB Destination.
The government may waive the sample requirement where supplies identical or similar to those called for have been previously furnished by the offeror and have been accepted by the government. The offeror may request a waiver.
