SPECIFICATION SHEET

Mountain Home AFB, ID

BD Solar Project

GENERAL: The 266 Range Squadron located on Mountain Home AFB, ID requires solar power solution to include installation at remote site BD (42.110914,-115.758766) for remote generator operations. The Contractor shall provide custom made enclosure that houses the battery bank and necessary solar equipment inside of maintenance building.

1. SOLAR PANEL SPECIFICATIONS: The solar panels need to comply with the following characteristics:

1.1. PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS

1.1.1. Panel dimensions shall be no more than 4’W x 5’L x 1’H

1.1.2. Panel weight no more than 50lbs

1.1.3. Module: fire performance (UL 1703) Type 1

1.2. POWER PERFORMANCE

1.2.1. Maximum Power 300W

1.2.2. Open Circuit Voltage 40V

1.2.3. Maximum Power Point Voltage 40V

2. CHARGE CONTROLLER: The charge controller need to comply with the following characteristics.

2.1. PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS

2.1.1. Controller dimensions shall not exceed 2’W x 2’L x 1’H

2.1.2. Enclosure Type: 1 (indoor and vented) IP20

2.1.3. Charge controller shall include an Ethernet port

2.2. POWER PERFORMANCE

2.2.1. Maximum Battery Current 60 Amps

2.2.2. Range: -30°C to +80°C

2.2.3. Set Points: Absorption, Float, Equalize, HVD

2.2.4. Remote Temperature Sensor (RTS): Included

3. BATTERIES: Batteries need to comply with the following characteristics.

3.1. PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS

3.1.1. Battery dimensions shall be no bigger than 15”L x 8”W x 10”H

3.1.2. Battery weight shall weigh no more than 65 lbs

3.2. POWER PERFORMANCE

3.2.1. 12 Volt Batteries

3.2.2. Battery have a rating of no less than 126 amp hours

4. AC/DC INVERTER: The AC/DC inverter need to comply with the following characteristics.

4.1. POWER PERFORMANCE

4.1.1. Output Voltage: 120 VAC ± 3%

4.1.2. Maximum Output Current: 5.1 Amps

4.1.3. Output Frequency: 60 Hz ± 1%

4.1.4. Continuous Output Power: 600 Watts

4.1.5. Maximum Input Current: 20 Amps

5. AC BATTERY CHARGER: The battery charger needs to comply with the following

5.1. PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS

5.1.1. Cooling Fan

5.2. POWER SPECIFICATIONS

5.2.1. Maximum Output shall be equivalent to 40 Amps

6. AUTOMATIC GENERATOR START: The generator starter needs to comply with the following characteristics.

6.1. SPECIFICATIONS

6.1.1. Generator Start Card shall interface with Cummins 65K/100K Generator

6.1.1.1. Generator start shall have an Ethernet network interface card, and be able to start/manage remotely via communication network

7. CUSTOM ENCLOSURE: The custom box needs to comply with the following

7.1. SPECIFICATIONS

7.1.1. Enclosure shall be insulated/sealed, have temperature controls and be able to maintain proper battery temperature.

7.1.2. Enclosure shall be properly fitted to house batteries, temperature control system, and any equipment involving the solar project that needs to be mounted.

7.1.3. Enclosure shall have all cables entering and exiting labeled and installed with proper connectors and heat shrink labeling.

7.1.4. Enclosure shall easy change out of devices and batteries

8. WARRANTY

8.1. Shall provide a 5 year warranty

8.2. Following completion of installation by purchaser, the contractor shall provide technical support if there are any issues wither by telephone or in person

9. INSTALLATION: Contractors are responsible for properly installing and wiring the Solar equipment at the proposed site

9.1. Contractor shall install complete Solar solution package in proposed location

9.1.1. Installation includes: Panels, Charge Controller, Batteries, AC/DC Inverter, A/C Battery Charger, Automatic Generator Start and Custom Enclosure

9.1.2. Contractor shall ensure cleanliness of Government facility

9.1.3. Contractor shall provide all necessary hardware/cables

9.1.4. Any damage done to Government property by the Contractor shall be repaired by the Contractor at the Contractor’s expense

9.1.5. Contractor shall perform complete function check of system after installation ensuring proper system operation

9.1.6. Contract shall provide system operating instructions and basic operational procedures after installation

10. SPECIFICS:

10.1. Contractor shall deliver all equipment to the remote site

10.2. Work to be done will be no later than 30 days after date of contract (ADC)
