Statement of Requirements

Project: Procurement of an in-shell pecan nut sanitizer and elevator.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Scope of Work: Delivery of an in-shell pecan nut sanitizer and elevator

2.0 Background: SEFTNRL recently constructed a clean room for pecan nut harvesting. The harvesting process consist of cracking and shelling of pecan nut and separating the nut into two complete halves for research purposes. The process requires that the in-shell pecan nut be cleaned/sanitized prior to cracking and shelling.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

3.0 Sanitizer Technical Requirements/Tasks:

Minimum Requirements

1) Single Continuous Sanitizer

2) Capacity: 7,000-1,300 lbs./hr.

3) Dimensions: 81" W x 109" L x 86" H

4) 240V, 3-Phase

5) Paddle wheel design - eliminates chain and reduces maintenance

6) Heavy-duty stainless-steel construction

7) Variable Speed Drive

4.0 Aluminum Cup Elevator Technical Requirements/Tasks:

Minimum Requirements

1) 7” Wide Cups

2) Capacity: 269 cu ft/hr.

3) 120V, 3-Phase

4) Dimensions: 13’ Height

5) Sanitizer chute included
