MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
SUBJECT: Detailed Specifications for Required Packs of B Company 1/19th
1. There are three (3) bags total that are required but all have different specifications to what is required for each bag.
2. The first bag should be designed with integrated storage for radio batteries and antennas and should be configured to accommodate a range of larger format radios systems.
a. There is a requirement for 10 EA of the described bag in this section.
b. The weight of the bag should be less than or equal to 9lbs in weight and should have a minimum volume of 1,000 cu-ins. The dimensions should be as close to 23”x14”x12”, give or take a couple of inches. The harnessing style should have a frame and the pattern of the bag should be Scorpion W2/MULTICAM pattern.
c. The frame should have a minimum of three vertical and three horizontal carbon fiber says with a full fabric panel between the stays that absorbs shock and increases flexibility of the frame.
d. The bag should have side Velcro access ports for routing cables, Velcro access port for antennae and cables, auto lock buckles preventing slippage, bottom compression straps, slotted sleeves on inner sides for cable management, webbing on the interior and exterior to accommodate MOLLE accessories, and a battery compartment that fits up to four 5590 or 5290 batteries with internal cable routing to main compartment.
e. The bag should also be in full compliance with the Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C.
2533a) as implemented by DFARS 252.225-7012.
3. The intended use for this bag should make it so that the bag can be rapidly accessed for combat related traumas.
a. There is a requirement for 20 EA of the described bag in this section.
b. The weight of the bag should be less than or equal to 9lbs in weight and should have a minimum volume of 1,400 cu-ins. The dimensions should be as close to 20”x12”x5.5”, give or take a few inches. The pattern of the bag should be Scorpion W2/MULTICAM pattern.
c. The bag should have one-handed access to organized medical supplies. There should be multiple trauma shears and tourniquet holders throughout the pack and have large, reinforced handles for hanging the pack on branches or inside of helicopters. It should also have two IV Bag pockets within the bag.
d. There should be a Bolstered Ventilation and Stability system and an internal trash pocket to keep track of items used. There should be two 150cu-in front pockets for blowout kits and two internal sleeves for splints and long items. Top lid features internal bandage and gauze loops and there should be webbing to accommodate

MOLLE accessories. An internal top handle for hanging opened packs with a 300 cu-in zippered bottom pocket.
e. The bag should also be in full compliance with the Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C.
2533a) as implemented by DFARS 252.225-7012.
4. The last bag should be designed as a large medical pack and have one-handed access to medical supplies for any emergency medical situation.
a. There is a requirement for 20 EA of the described bag in this section.
b. The weight of the bag should be less than or equal to 14lbs in weight and should have a minimum volume of 3,300 cu-ins. The dimensions should be as close to 29”x20”x12”. The pattern of the bag should be Scorpion W2/MULTICAM pattern.
c. The frame should have a minimum of three vertical and three horizontal carbon fiber says with a full fabric panel between the stays that absorbs shock and increases flexibility of the frame.
d. The pack should have quick access to your organized medical supplies. There should be a large top lid that has elastic loops for gauze and a detail pocket for administrative needs. The front panel will have one large pocket and two side pockets for more storage. Inside the main compartment should be six removable pockets and two IV bag pockets, all with clear panels for fast identification.
e. Some of the key features on this bag should have Bolstered Ventilation and Stability System to allow for a stable, secure fit over body armor, Webbing to accommodate MOLLE accessories, internal trash pocket for easy inventory resupply, two internal sleeves for splints and long items, a top lid with internal bandage and gauze loops, and an internal top handle for hanging opened pack.
f. The bag should also be in full compliance with the Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C.
2533a) as implemented by DFARS 252.225-7012.
