About this file
This Requirements/Specification Document details a solicitation by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for two High Power Broadband RF Amplifiers with matching heatsink assemblies for the Communications Technology Laboratory's Radio Frequency Technology Division. The amplifiers must operate across 0.2 GHz to 35 GHz with >42 dB typical small signal gain, >33 dBm saturated power, and have specific technical requirements including 50 Ohm input/output impedance, female 2.92 mm RF connectors, and a sealed metal package measuring 300 mm x 200 mm x 55 mm. Each amplifier requires a matching heatsink assembly with an aluminum or copper design, attached fan, and capability to dissipate 100 W of heat.
The solicitation specifies delivery shall be completed no later than 10/1/2025, with shipping to NIST-Boulder at 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305. The procurement includes two amplifier units and two corresponding heatsink assemblies. Vendors are expected to provide new equipment with manufacturer performance checks, and NIST anticipates acceptance within 7 business days. The base manufacturer warranty is acceptable, and no additional installation, training, calibration, or maintenance services are currently required. The solicitation number is NB6720102502215, with questions to be directed to lia.arthofer@nist.gov within five days of posting.
