About this file
This document is a Requirements/Specification Document for a linear, solid state RF power amplifier from 18 - 26.5 GHz with an output of 20 Watts across the specified band. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking this amplifier to meet the requirements outlined, including power output, gain, size, weight, and input/output specifications. This document is part of a pre-solicitation sources sought announcement by NIST to identify potential vendors, both large and small businesses, that can provide this specialized equipment. NIST will use the responses to this sources sought to potentially set aside the acquisition for small businesses if at least two qualified small businesses are identified. The key details provided include the technical specifications, delivery timeframe of 6 weeks after award, warranty requirements, and instructions for vendors to submit capability statements. NIST is using this market research to determine the appropriate acquisition method prior to issuing a formal solicitation.
