About this file
This document is a Requirements/Specifications Document for a Lock-In Detection Camera from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). NIST is seeking information on vendors that can provide a 2D pixel array camera with a minimum 512 x 512 pixels, sensor quantum efficiency greater than 45% in the 750 nm to 800 nm range, and lock-in IQ demodulation capabilities from 1 kHz to 100 kHz. The camera must have DC background subtraction, lock-in filter time constants up to 0.1 s, and continuous readout or onboard storage of filtered frames. NIST is conducting market research through this Sources Sought announcement to determine if there are any qualified small businesses that can meet the technical requirements. Interested vendors should submit capability statements addressing the specified criteria, including company profile, product details, lead time, and small business status. NIST will use the responses to determine the appropriate acquisition method, which may include a small business set-aside.

Item 1: Lock-In Detection Camera Quantity: 1 Specifications: 1.1 2D pixel array with minimum 512 x 512 pixels and 25 um pixel pitch
1.2 Sensor quantum efficiency greater than 45% for light
wavelengths from 750 nm to 800 nm Greater than 50% effective fill factor
1.3 Pixel full well capacity of 0.5e6 electrons or higher
1.4 Lock-in IQ demodulation (one demodulator per pixel) at
modulation frequencies from 1 kHz to 100 kHz
1.5 DC background subtraction before digitization of AC signals at
10 bit or higher resolution (per I and Q signal)
1.6 Lock-in filter time constants up to 0.1 s
1.7 Continuous readout of filtered frames or on-board storage of at least 500 filtered frames for download to the host PC
1.8 C-mount adapter for attaching lenses
1.9 External logic level reference frequency input and output accessible from connector (e.g. BNC or SMA) on camera driver
1.10 Camera driver with associated modules for lock-in signal handling and camera connections
1.11 Modulated LED source for testing
1.12 Power supply and cables for operation on a host PC
1.13 Forced air cooling module if applicable
1.14 External logic level reference frequency input and output accessible from connector (e.g. BNC or SMA) on camera driver
