This instrument will be used to test for boiling range (ASTM D86-19) of petroleum samples at the Air Force Petroleum Agency’s Aerospace Fuels Laboratories at Wright Patterson AFB OH.
1. This instrument must be an automated distillation instrument that is fully compliant with ASTM D86-19, “Standard Test Method for Distillation of Petroleum Products and Liquid Fuels at Atmospheric Pressure”.
2. Must be capable of providing analysis of at least 5 samples per hour with minimal operator time per test (5-10 min).
3. Must be have a level follower/recording mechanism that has a resolution of 0.1% volume or better with a maximum error of 0.3% volume between the 5% and 100% range.
4. Be capable of providing results in appropriate units (mL & oC) using analyzer software, that meets the precision and bias requirements specified in the method.
5. Be capable of operating at temperature ranges of 0o to 400oC with a sensitivity of ± 0.1oC.
6. Provide integrated user controls for operation, calibration, and standardization.
7. Include a printer to record/print results.
8. Must be supplied with all accessories required for installation and operation.
