SPECIFICATION

BACKGROUND

USDA, ARS, Plant Genetic Resources Unit, in Geneva, NY will require a large, heavy-duty, four-wheel-drive, 150+ horsepower, diesel tractor for preparation of seed beds for planting seeds and transplants. The large tractor is required for heavy disking, plowing, cultivating, and mowing operations with 15-foot-wide implements through rocky and clay soils. The tractor will also assist with the assembly of trellising, loading construction material, and harvesting operations. The tractor will be used by the Clonal, Vegetable, Hemp, and Grape Genetics projects.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Rated engine power of at least 150 horsepower

· Four-wheel drive

· Continuously variable transmission

· Rated PTO power of at least 140 horsepower

· Engine is EPA tier 4 compliant.

· Diesel fuel engine

· Category III, three-point hitch

· Lift points can lift at least 20,000 pounds.

· Lift points can lift at least 11,000 pounds at 24 inches behind the points.

· Two external lift cylinders

· Power-take-off with 540 and 1000 rpm capacity

· Hi and low speed operations.

· Hydraulic shuttle shifting

· Power steering

· Category II swinging drawbar

· Closed center-load sensing

DISTINGUISGHING CHARACTERISTICS

· Heavy duty fixed front axel

· Loader valve kit

· Wheel weight-500 pounds

· LCD readout display for MPH and PTO

· 12V outlet

· Enclosed cab

· Air conditioning and heating capability

· Defogger

· Self-leveling loader comes installed.

· GPS system installed.

· Travel speeds of at least 20 miles per hour.

· Head and taillights

· Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) system installed.

WARRANTY

A minimum of one-year factory standard warranty is required.

TRAINING

An operator’s manual written in English, outlining detailed instructions required to operate and service the equipment will be required.

On-site professional installation and training on how to use the tractor is required.

Documentation. The Contractor shall provide an electronic copy (by email to tyler.gordon@usda.gov) of delivery confirmation and standard technical specifications and instructions.

DELIVERY

Delivery shall be included in the total price and the item(s) will be delivered to the address below between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
