About this file
This specifications sheet outlines requirements for a third-generation sequencing device for use in foodborne pathogen research. The device must be an Oxford Nanopore Technologies GridION Mk1 or equivalent, capable of performing four or more concurrent sequencing runs on the same platform with both long and short read capabilities. Sample types include DNA and RNA from prokaryotic and eukaryotic sources. Additional required items include flow cells, wash kits, sequencing kits, barcoding kits, and a software license. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the US Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service seeking offers for a GridION Mk1 Starter Pack to meet the requirements specified in the technical specifications sheet.
