STATEMENT OF WORK

TITLE: 5G Scanners LAB REQUESTING PURCHASE: Communications Technology Laboratory, Public Safety Communications Research Division

I. BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Public Safety Communications Research (PSCR) has built a 700-MHz Public Safety Broadband Demonstration Network to provide manufacturers and first responders a location for early deployment of their systems in a multi-vendor, neutral, host environment. This network is currently being upgraded to fifth generation (5G) New Radio (NR) capabilities.

II. SCOPE

Upgrade one (1) PCTEL MXflex scanning receiver currently being used by PSCR with software to support 5G NR standards.

Procure one (1) PCTEL HBflex scanner capable of measuring millimeter wave (mmW) signals up to 40 GHz. Purchasing a mmW capable scanner of the same manufacturer as the MXflex will enable PSCR to share software between the two units.

III. SPECIFICATIONS

1. The Contractor shall upgrade one (1) existing, NIST owned, scanning receiver in accordance with the following:

1.1. Model: PCTEL MXflex; Part Number 07904SNR; Serial Number: 71912004.
