Functional Specifications
We require a laboratory instrument capable of high sensitivity in measuring carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus concentrations in water.
Water analyzer requirements:
1) Capable of measuring total organic carbon, total inorganic carbon, non-purgeable carbon, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus in water samples. Sensitivity of measurement should be at least 0.1-10 mg/L for total phosphorus, 0.005 – 20,000 mg/L for carbon measurement, and 0.2-20 mg/L for total nitrogen in wastewater.
2) Fully automated system with autosampler. The auto-sampler rack must hold a minimum of 50 sample vials for unattended/overnight analysis of water samples.
3) Sample analysis uses a published method (EPA and/or ISO standards for measurement) for total nitrogen, total carbon, and total phosphorus in water to achieve the measurable ranges listed above.
4) Availability of total organic carbon standards for calibration certified in accordance with ISO 9001 quality specifications.
5) Availability of an annual service contract agreement, which includes at least two on-site repair visits and response time of 2 weeks or less with labor and travel included.
6) Windows 10 or higher PC with sample management and analysis/evaluation software installed for processing and interpretation of results. Software should be able to manage automation of sample analysis and automate data evaluation/quantification of element concentration in samples. PC system should include industry standard flat screen monitor, mouse, and keyboard.
