SPECIFICATION SHEET
Storage and Computing Servers for Genomic and Computer Vision Data
I BACKGROUND
The USDA, ARS, Grape Genetics Research Unit in Geneva, New York requires two data storage servers and two computational servers for Storage and Computing of Grapevine Sequencing Data, managed by Cornell University’s Bioinformatics Facility. The Sequencing data is used to evaluate the genomic basis of traits and levels of gene expression in plant tissue responding to treatments. The Imaging data is used to identify traits for genetic improvement.
II. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.
Standard support, including 3 years of hardware coverage, plus technical support, 24 Hour Cross ship including 2-way shipping coverage, in providing and supporting the following:
1. Genomics storage server
a. Gbt Ent 36 Bay Epyc Storage Server 3U Up

c. 8-Channel RDIMM/LRDIMM DDR4, 16 x DIMMs, with eight 16Gb DDR 4 2933 ECC/REG

h. Epyc 7313P 16C/32T 3-3.7GHz
i. LSI/Broadcom 9500-16i 12Gbs Tri-Mode HBA

a. Tyan 1U All Flash Epyc Storage Server 1U1S Cloud Server,

3. Computer vision Data storage system
a. The storage system must have an integrated data management system for high throughput of plant phenotypic data.
b. The storage system must be a configured 1PB hard drive in a RAIDZ2 format.
c. Must include equivalent or better than:
a. 2 x Gbt Ent 4U Storage Svr 36 Bay 4U Storage
i. MD61-SC2, 16x DDR4, 2 x 10G SFP+ with QL 41102. 1 x Management LAN, 10/100/1G. AST2500. 7 x LP slots, Redundant. 1200W 80+ Platinum. (Front) 24 x 3.5'' + (Rear) 12 x 3.5'' & 2.5'' Hot-swap HDD, No ODD
d. 4 x Intel Xeon Silver 4214R 12C 2.4GHz

4. Computer vision Computational server:
a. The operating system must be Ubuntu 20.04 for high throughput of plant phenotypic data, including
Lambda Stack for managing TensorFlow, PyTorch, CUDA, cuDNN, etc
b. The Processor must be 2x AMD EPYC 7713 with 64 cores, 2.0 GHz, 256 MB cache, PCle 4.0.
c. The GPUs must be EDU – 8x RTX A6000 with 48 GB of VRAM per GPU, NVLink, PCle 4.0.
d. Memory must be 1024 GB
e. Operating system drive must be 1.92 TB NVMe.
f. Extra Storage must be at least 3x 1.92 TB | U.2 | MVMe
g. Warranty and support at least 3 years of hardware coverage, plus technical support
h. Warranty includes 24 Hour Cross ship including 2-way shipping coverage

III. Section 508 Accessibility Compliance
It is mandatory that products developed, procured, maintained, or use Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) be accessible to employees with disabilities. Examples of EIT equipment are peripherals, copiers, fax machines, computers.
All Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) procured through this Contract must meet the applicable accessibility standards at 36 CFR 1194, unless an agency exception to this requirement exists.

IV. Delivery and System Installation:
a. System Footprint. Storage and computing of NGS grapevine data
b. Government Furnished Property. Computer to access stored server data.
c. Utilities. Not Applicable.
d. Delivery. The Contractor shall deliver the servers within sixty (60) days after the receipt of the purchase order to:
