About this file

This specification sheet outlines technical requirements for four types of V-groove fiber array assemblies to be supplied under Solicitation Number FA875123Q0148 from the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory. The assemblies must contain 8 channels of between 0.5 and 2 meter long 9/125 micron singlemode fibers pigtailed with FC/APC connectors and loose tube buffering. The specification requires 15 each of 127 micron flat and angled V-groove assemblies and 15 each of 250 micron flat and angled V-groove assemblies meeting detailed technical specifications for core offset, insertion loss, facet polish angle, and channel spacing. Acceptable part numbers from manufacturer OZOptics are provided as examples, but equivalent products from other manufacturers will be considered if sufficient technical information is provided to allow evaluation.
