NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract, IAW 41 USC 3304(c), 38 U.S. Code 8127(c), FAR 6.302-5(a)2(i)
Authorized or Required by Statute, to SDVOSB, J&J Mechanical Contractors, Heating and Air
Conditioning LLC, 329 Sip Ave, Jersey City, New Jersey 07306. The period of performance for contract award will begin 5/16/2023.
The Department of Veterans Affairs NY Harbor Health Care System at Manhattan campus, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010 has an emergency requirement to:
The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment, safety, necessary to emergency repair and replace the chilled water-cooling coils at Margaret Cochran-Corbin Medical Center. The impacted Air Handler Units provide cooling to critical areas of the Medical Center, such as MICU, CCU, and inpatient areas. The coils are sized based on material of construction and dimensional characteristics. The Contractor will fabricate replacement coil with copper tubes and aluminum fins and must be sized equivalent in cooling capacity.
This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotations; however, any SDVOSB firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time.
Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to perform these emergency services by May 15, 2023. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered.
