SOLICITATION: SPE7MX20R0114
SOURCE SELECTION INFORMATION – SEE FAR 2.101 AND 3.104 - FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY
[ X ] AMSC C. These parts require engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the parts. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of these parts from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. If one source is approved, AMCs 3, 4, or 5 are valid. If at least two sources are approved or if data is adequate for an alternate source to qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, AMCs 1 or 2 are valid.
In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c)(1)(ii)(B) and FAR 6.303-2(b)(5), the following provides a demonstration of the unique qualifications of the sources listed above to justify the use of 10 USC 2304(c)(1).
Per the technical review conducted for these NSNs on April 8, 2020, the sources listed above are the only sources currently approved by the design control activity. They are the only known sources to possess the requisite rights to technical data for these items and only known approved sources for these items.
As shown in Attachment 1, the Government’s Product Specialist confirmed the AMSC code listed in this document is correct and the Government does not have a complete unrestricted data package as of April 8, 2020.

[ X ] The manufacturer(s) will be solicited.
7. I hereby determine that the anticipated cost to the Government will be fair and reasonable.
