Questions and Answers for Cherry Point Site Visit:

Relocation

1. For removal of existing machine and associated equipment:

a. Do you know of any approved rigging companies for cherry hill that we could request a quote for removal of the current tanks?

Answer: Owens Construction, INC, (252) 504-3163.

b. 3.3 mentions a local process specification (LPS) CP03-0-FF-9357. Is this document available for review?

Answer: Attached is (LPS) CP03-0-FF-9357for review.

c. "The cleaning line shall be capable of processing 120 parts in an 8 hour shift". The above document would be helpful to know the process times in order for me to evaluate the ability of my system to meet this throughput spec. I am assuming the 120 parts referenced is of the maximum size listed. I need to know the process/cycle time in order to determine basket/ tank size to accommodate this throughput. Can you let me know A. is the 120 parts the largest parts? And B. what is the cycle time in each tank for the parts of the 120 pieces/per day.

Answer: The 120 components would be a mix of the largest parts down to the smallest parts. Process times are listed in the attached LPS.

d. In the scope section 3.7.3.1; it talks about relocating the existing parts washer, serial #03-201; and in section 3.3.4.7 it talks about providing a new parts washer. The question: would we be providing a new parts washer, or are we relocating the current parts washer?

Answer: The contractor shall provide a new parts washer, not relocate the existing parts washer. The wording from Section 3.7.3.1 requiring moving the parts washer to be moved should have been deleted when we changed the parts washer from an option to a requirement.
