The purpose of amendment 0001 is to answer the following questions:
3.2.2.5 – Trays
Question 1: Can the tray width requirement be adjusted to read from 96” to 112” wide?
Government Response: No. There is already a 22% difference between the smallest and largest acceptable tray size. Adjusting this range increases the difference to 32%, which is much too great for an LPTA comparison.
Question 2: Is the industry norm of 30 lbs./sf acceptable?
Government Response: No. This is the minimum acceptable value. On other projects completed by our office, the minimum is higher.
3.2.2.6 – Partitions
Question 3: Can the tray dividers and perimeter kits be constructed of Treated Tempered Hardboard instead of galvanized steel?
Government Response: No. This is specified so that the comparison between vendors is “on a level playing field.” Previous projects were evaluated as “Tradeoff”, but this is “Lowest Price Technically Acceptable”, where it was considered.
