BIE, Navajo District Office of Facility Management Scope of Work Boiler Tube Replacement for Williams & Davis Boiler # 6791

Facility maintenance crew discovered a leak on our Williams & Davis steam boiler located in Ft. Defiance, Arizona. Upon inspection of the boiler, we have determined that all seventy-six (76) fire tubes within the boiler need replacement.

Scope of Work:

The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment and transportation to replace seventy-six (76) 2-1/2” x 96” boiler tubes on one Williams and Davis boiler. Contractor shall comply with all manufacturer’s installation specifications.

Work Requirements:

· Contractor shall notify the agency facility management office of overall project schedule.

· Contractor shall supply and install seventy-six (76) 2-1/2” OD x 96”, 0.105 ml (12 Ga.) SA-178-A boiler tubes on one Williams and Davis boiler.

· Contractor shall perform a hydrostatic test upon installing all fire tubes.

· Contractor shall close the boiler, fire the boiler and check the boiler/burner operation.

· Contractor will be required to work during the week Monday through Friday, with the option to work longer hours per day.

· Agency local maintenance staff will open the boiler front and back, and drain the boiler

· If additional deficiencies are found, an additional quote will be required for additional repair work.
