5.0 NOTES
5.1. The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of
tier, must consult the General Technical Requirements (GTR) to determine applicability to this work item. In performance of this work item, the contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier must comply with the requirements of all applicable
GTRs.
5.2. The contractor and all subcontractors regardless of
tier are advised to review the other work items under this contract to determine their effect on the work required under this work item.
6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None additional
7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED:
7.1. Tag-Out all required systems and equipment. Drain
and dispose of any liquid in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
7.2. Receive material identified in paragraph 4.2
7.3. Restore thickness of metal for air flask shell and
head using references 2.1 through 2.5 and the below information as guidance.
7.3.1. Metal for air flask shell is to be restored
to a minimum of 1.676 inches but not more than 1.9375 inches
7.3.2. Metal for air flask head is to be restored to
a minimum of 1.533 inches but not more than 1.625 inches.

7.3.3. Location requiring correction in table above
provides location as identified in reference 2.3
7.4. Replace drain connection and outlet connection of
each air flask with new using references 2.1 and 2.2 for details of material requirements.
7.5. Paint/Lagging/Markings:
7.5.1. Renew lagging where old lagging was removed.
Paint all new and disturbed surfaces to match surrounding surfaces.
7.5.2. Install name plates, notices, and markings
for all new and modified systems (or areas)
7.6. Inspection/Test
7.6.1. Prove thickness and density of material meets
the requirements of paragraph 7.3 in all locations using magnetic particle testing (MT) and/or liquid penetrant testing
(PT) of affected areas.
7.6.2. Provide objective evidence ensuring that
there are no cracks, inclusions, porosity, spatter, and filler material is well bonded to the base metal.
