STATEMENT OF WORK

Replacement of Urology Department’s Ultrasound

Veterans Affairs Health Care System Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

• General: Currently, the Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Health Care System (herein after referred to as OKC VAHCS) Urology Department requires the replacement of 1 ultrasound system and probes. The system to be replaced is a flex focus 500. The OKC VAHCS treats a wide variety of urology cases. Urology is an evolving specialty with new and innovative treatments. It is critical for the replacement equipment to be capable of performing the range of current and future procedures required by the facility.

• Delivery Location: Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Health Care System, Urology

Department 921 N.E. 13th St. Oklahoma City, Ok 73104

• Delivery Times: Delivery times shall be Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 16:00

(7:00AM to 4:00PM).

• Definitions/Acronyms o OKC VAHCS: Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Health Care System

• Scope: The Contractor will provide 1 replacement Urology ultrasound system and 9 probes. The surgeons must be familiar with the operation and functionality of the new ultrasound system. The ultrasound system and probes must be same as or equal to the BK3000 ultrasound system and probes. The BK3000 ultrasound system and accompanying probes are as follows:

• BK3000 Ultrasound Specifications o DICOM system capable of transferring HL7 data to the Radiology

Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS).

o 4 transducer sockets on the side of the machine o Lock and unlock level or switch on for each transducer socket o Minimum of two(2) 3.0 USB connectors o Minimum of four(4) 2.0 USB connectors o Minimum of one(1) DVI connector o Minimum of one(1) LAN connector o Capable of transmitting information using Wi-Fi o Mechanical and Thermal indexes viewable in all imaging modes o Support a battery operated ultrasound system o Battery compartment located on the wheelbase of the system o Battery must automatically charge when power cable is plugged in o Battery status must be displayed on the battery compartment and on the monitor o System must notify user when the battery needs to be replaced o When battery is critically low the following must occur

• Messages appears on the monitor notifying the user about the low battery and display a countdown time for shutting down

• On-screen battery indicator turns red

• Display on the battery compartment blinks repeatedly

• Probes o 5C1e Transducer

• Training for VA Employees: A comprehensive training program is required.

• Security Requirements: The contractor will have no access to patient records or areas of the hospital. The A&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required.
