STATEMENT OF WORK
REPAIR COLD ROOM 1087
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), US Horticultural Research Laboratory (USHRL) needs a single Contractor who can provide supplies, services, supervision, transportation, labor, work plan, schedule, and assure effective performance to repair cold room 1087 located at 2001 South Rock Road, Ft Pierce, FL 34945.
1. SCOPE OF WORK
The general statement of work shall serve as general information only and shall not limit the Contractor’s responsibility or obligations to conform to all local, state, and federal labor laws necessary to furnish and repair cold room 1087 as follows:
a. Modify to new scroll type condensing unit.
b. New evaporator unit.
c. Automatic control
d. Add hot gas bypass.
e. Desuperheating circuits.
f. New liquid line and suction filters
g. Flush old refrigerant and change refrigerant to R404A.
h. Reslope drain line.
i. Remove unused wiring and rewire with power whip new circuits. Use weathered type of flex conduit.
i. Re-plumb copper lines.
j. Reinsulate suction line.
j. Adjust and test cold room to proper temperature swing operation.
k. Crane operation to remove and deliver old compressor units.
l. Contractor responsible for the disposal of any excess equipment and materials.
2. Site visit information. A site visit has been scheduled for 08/03/2023 at 9:00 AM EST. Please provide the name of the personnel requesting to attend and the company with which they are associated to lynn.hults@usda.gov and vic.agahan@usda.gov by 08/02/2023 at 3:00 PM EST.
