CSS-Proteomics Analysis-Aberdeen IAS: 1038174 Solicitation 12905B21Q0032 Statement of Work Septicity Requirements for the Proteomics Service This service request is to analyze total protein profile of barley malt samples and compare the differences between varieties and locations. Full service is required from protein extraction to data analysis as well as summary result report writing. We request the service vendor:

1. Must be able to extract all proteins from barley malt with one gram of sample.

2. Generated tryptic peptides need to be analyzed using new technologies including nano UPLC/MS/MS.

3. The peptide quantitation should be based on peak intensity using new sensitive and accurate methodology such as MaxQuant software.

4. Protein level false discovery rate (FDR) must be less than 1%.

5. Statistical analysis will be performed to identify the different proteins between varieties at the same location and locations for the same variety.

6. Summary will be written and delivered via email or hardcopy.

7. Raw data will be delivered via email or hardcopy.

8. Following support of data interpretation will be provided.

9. The whole project will be completed within two weeks after seed samples are received.
