UT shall be performed with a transducer size of 0.250 inch at a frequency of 5 MHz.
CAUTION: The special temperature limitation of Reference (b) may be exceeded to a maximum temperature of 400 degrees F adjacent to replaced post welds and 300 degrees F for peripheral welds.
These temperature limits shall be strictly adhered to for piece 16 and the base casting in the area adjacent to piece 16 for all welding operations.
3. Repair failed or cracked post welds in accordance with Reference (c).
NOTE: Ultrasonic testing shall be performed prior to weld repair of special attributes. The entire length of subsurface cracks shall be excavated prior to weld repair. MIL-CuAI-A2 weld filler material is authorized and shall be used for welds associated with the repair of special attributes. UT shall be performed with a transducer size of 0.250 inch at a frequency of 5 M^Hz.
4. Repair all defects on the exterior hub surfaces in way of the o-ring sealing surfaces that exceed the VTI acceptance criteria.
5. Repair porosity to meet the special edge condition limits for Class 1 propellers.
