Statement of Work for

CENTRIFUGALLY CAST MONEL WITH RADIOGRAPHIC INSPECTION

17 DECEMBER 2020

a) SCOPE

This statement of work (SOW) is for the Firm Fixed Price procurement of centrifugally cast monel alloy material in support of the Improved Low Loss Launch Valve (ILLLV) program, in accordance with the specifications and dimensions provided herein. This procurement includes 100% radiographic inspection of all castings provided, and all associated certifications and test reports.

b) REQUIREMENTS

2.1 General

The contractor shall provide the following quantities and sizes, per specifications in section 2.2:

a) 30 pieces 9.25" OD X 7.25" ID X 4" LONG

b) 30 pieces 9.25" OD X 7.25" ID X 3.5" LONG The following certifications are required:

a) Raw material certification: 1) Material and original mill certifications are required and must be in English 2) Material must be DFARS Compliant.

b) Radiographic inspection certification, with all original x-ray films provided for review. This certification and associated film must be sent to TPOC for review and Quality Assurance acceptance prior to shipment of material.

2.2 Specifications

a) Material:

1. Material to be centrifugally cast IAW MIL-C-24723, Composition M-25S or ASTM A494/A494M, Grade M-25S, Class 3. Hardness 300 HBW to 350 HBW (approximately 150,000 PSI UTS).

b) Radiographic inspection:

1. The finished parts will be 100% penetrant inspected in accordance with ASTM E1417/1417M, Type I Method A, Sensitivity level 2. Parts must meet the acceptance requirements of MIL-STD-2035. No indications greater than .063 inch are acceptable."

2. 100% radiographic inspection in accordance with NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271. Casting shall meet the requirements of NAVSEA S9074-AR-GIB-010/278, criticality level 1.

3. Please ensure there are no obstructions in areas of film that must be reviewed.

2.3 Government Inspection and Acceptance

Government Inspection and Acceptance of all units shall be accomplished at the destination.

3.0 PACKAGING, PRESERVATION AND SHIPPING

Packaging and preservation for shipping shall be in accordance with best commercial practices. Shipments shall be packaged and transported (FOB Destination) via safe, secure, reliable, and traceable means of transportation and provide protection from normal climatic/weather conditions and incidental mishandling during shipping to prevent any damage or loss during shipment. All shipments under this contract shall be addressed to the NAVAIR Lakehurst Staging Facility as indicated below:

All exterior shipping containers/packaging shall at a minimum be marked with the following information: Part Number; Nomenclature; Quantity; Contract Number.

Delivery shall be made in full by 1 JUNE 2021.
