1. ABSTRACT
0. This item describes the annual inspection of the vessel's life rafts and hydrostatic release devices for USCG recertification.

1. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICES: None
1. NOTES:
4. The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier must consult the General Technical Requirements (GTR’s) to determine applicability to this work item. In performance of this work the contractor and all subcontractors must comply with the requirements of all applicable GTR’s including but not limited to GTR nos. 1-7, 22, 23, 25 and 29.
4. Period of Performance: AWARD – 08 May 2020
4. Performance Location: Contractor’s Facility
1. QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
5. All work shall be performed to the acceptance of the USCG and ABS Surveyor regulatory requirements.
1. STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED
6. Provide the services of a USCG and SOLAS authorized life raft certification facility to perform all work detailed in reference 2.1.1 to the life rafts and hydrostatic release devices described in paragraph 3.0.
0. MSC to Ship Rafts to Contractor Facility.
0. Contractor to include in Bid Price Hydrostatic testing and rebuild of all cylinders.
0. Include in Bid Price all additional Checks for Rafts 10 years or older; and gas inflation test.
0. Submit two (2) copies of written reports for life rafts and hydrostatic release devices and any repairs, hydrostatic testing, and/or recharging of the inflation cylinders necessary for recertification of the rafts, which are above and beyond that required on an annual basis. The cost of such above and beyond repairs will be covered by a change order to this item.
3. Annual items per raft are to include, but not limited to:

0. Submit a report of any equipment or provisions in need of replacement in excess of those required to be replaced on an annual basis. The material cost to replace any condemned equipment or provisions (in excess of those required to be replaced on an annual basis) will be covered by a change order.
6. In addition to the work called out in reference 2.1.1, contractor shall replace with new a total of the following;
1. Thirteen (13) HAMMAR H2O hydrostatic release devices.
1. One hundred (100) rations.
1. One hundred fifty-six (156) dozen seasick pills.
1. 300 oz. water
1. 78 Spare Batteries
1. 1 unit; Floating Smoke
1. 1 unit; Parachute Flare
6. Notify MSC Rep. 24 hours prior to shop inspection. Each life raft is to be inspected by USCG/ABS and MSC prior to repacking and stowing.
6. Contractor to Notify MSCREP when 13 rafts are ready for Pick up. Contractor to load onto GOVT Provided truck.
