Statement of Work (SOW)
Dated: 19 November 2020
B1615, 1622 and Ramp 1 Sunshade
1. SCOPE OF WORK:
The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and transportation necessary to service and perform preventative and remedial maintenance on Fall Protection Components for B1622 (3 each), B1615 (7 each), and Ramp 1 Sunshades (2 each). Work to be performed is as follows:
a. Annually check, Inspect, and perform regular maintenance on all rigid rail (HLL) and cable type systems in various elevations ranging from 30 to 95 feet (10 each HLL and 2 each cable).
b. Provide annual inspection and certification services for all rigid track and cable type systems (10 each HLL and 2 each cable) per current OSHA and ANSI standards.
c. Provide annual inspection and certification services for all Self‐Retracting Lanyard's (24 each) per current OSHA and ANSI standards.
d. Provide annual inspection and certification services for all trolleys (24 each) per current OSHA and ANSI standards.
e. Provide annual on‐site training for up to 10 people per current OSHA and ANSI standards.
f. Perform repairs on all rigid rail (HLL) and cable type systems (10 each HLL and 2 each cable) for an annually Not to Exceed (NTE) amount. Due to the dislocation of Edwards AFB, from any service centers, it is imperative that the contractor maintain common replacement parts in order to maintain these components, with a minimum of downtime. When notified of remedial discrepancies the contractor shall be so equipped as to be prepared to cover most common types of repair. If there is a part broke on these systems we need them to be repaired within two days, we cannot wait for material to be ordered and then replaced weeks later.
2. WORK LOCATION / RESTRICTED AREAS:
The work to be accomplished is located within the 412th Maintenance Group complexes, Edwards Air
Force Base, California 93524‐6325.
a. Base access will be coordinated for each visiting employee through the Government inspector no less than one week prior to scheduled work taking place.
b. The job site(s) will be located within a restricted area. The contractor personnel shall adhere to the assigned government inspector’s guidance while being escorted in these areas. All operations within the restricted area shall be in strict accordance with AFFTC Regulation 55‐1.

3. HOURS OF WORK:
The hours of work shall be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
4.DAMAGES:
Any government or privately owned property damaged by the contractor shall be replaced or repaired immediately by the contractor at no additional expense to the government.
5. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED ITEMS:
Water and electricity will be furnished to the contractor by the government from government existing systems outlets at no cost to the contractor.
6. CONTRACTOR FURNISHED ITEMS:
The contractor shall be required to furnish trucks, Man‐lifts, ladders, tools and all related such items necessary in the performance of this contract at no additional cost to the government.
7. SAFETY:
The contractor shall comply with all fire and safety regulations at Edwards Air Force Base, in addition to
Federal OSHA and Cal‐OSHA.
8. QUALITY ASSURANCE:
The contractor shall be responsible for quality assurance. The assigned government inspector(s) shall evaluate and approve all work accomplished.
9. EXCESS MATERIAL:
All excess materials and waste generated by the contractor shall be removed from the job site and disposed of by the contractor off base in concurrence with all state, federal, and local laws. Removed or broken parts will be turned over to the assigned government inspector.
10. REMEDIAL REPAIR:
Remedial repairs will be on an on‐call basis with response time not to exceed twenty‐four (24) hours
(you have 24 hours to respond to us calling for repairs). Excluding weekends and federal holidays. The contractor shall carry, on‐board repair vehicle or in‐stock, a representative assortment of parts needed to maintain the above itemized pieces of equipment. These parts can be established from factory tech sheets.
