ATTACHMENT A, STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW):
Retro-fit Tunable laser for airplane flight
Statement of Work (SOW) EXCELITAS Technologies Fast tunable laser (1030nm) retro-fit for airplane flight Rev-, 8/9/2022
I. Background NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is developing a 3-D mapping lidar for Earth, planetary science, and EDL (entry, descent, landing) investigations under an Instrument Incubator Program (IIP) from the Earth Science Technology Office. One of the major subsystems of the lidar is fast wavelength tuning laser at 1030nm with these major performance specifications:
1. single laser with (for airplane demo):
a. larger FSR of 100GHz
b. larger wavelength clock frequency of 13.4GHz.
2. multiple sweeping frequency calibration table (4 sweep frequencies)
3. lasing at 1030nm
4. sweep rate for different distance.
EXCELITAS Technologies has supplied such a devices with high TRL level to NASA and other aerospace firms. The IIP program plans to leverage on the past experience the firm had with aerospace mission.
II. Objective The objective of this procurement is for Left Hand Design Corporation to fabricate, test, and deliver a unit meets all of the specification and with high TRL.
III. Period of Performance The total period of the performance for this acquisition is 9 months after receipt of order.
IV. Technical Requirements
Specifications of the EXCELITAS Technologies:
1. single laser with (for airplane demo):
